I found myself in a horrible situation that did not appear would turn out well. I was doing research online searching for an attorney that would represent me and work hard to get me through it. I came upon Art Fulmer and immediately scheduled an appointment.
All of his staff were friendly and very knowledgeable on my situation. Mr Fulmer not only put me at ease, he told me there was no way this would end in the worse case senario.

For anyone trying to hire a lawyer for the first time, please don’t be deterred if you have to wait a few weeks for your first consult. I had been through the wringer before for an older case with a different lawyer, and retrospectively i would have saved time, energy as well as a lot of money had i met Mr. Fulmer earlier.
Cause of my past dealings I was very skeptical of all lawyers in general and met a few before going with Mr. Fulmer. During my initial consult, Mr. Fulmer was reserved, didn’t sugar coat anything or made attempts to win me over by saying things I wanted to hear. He was to the point and set realistic expectations.
I had multiple interactions with the support staff as well and they always got back to me by the next day and were very professional, i never felt like i had to chase anything down.
During Mediation as well, Mr. Fulmer was very organized, he walked in with a laptop, from what i could tell everything was digitized and readily accessible. He had all his ducks in a row, i never felt like i had to bring him up to speed or if he was playing catchup. Unlike other law offices that I have seen in the past buried under case files. I was very impressed with the organization and use of technology in a remote mediation.
My current case was relatively simple but i could still tell that he brought his A game. Be it a big case or a small one i felt like he treated them, all the same.
When it comes to billing, everything i was charged was just, no hundreds of dollars of charges for verbose emails saying redundant things. Since they have paralegals, you are billed at a lower rate for the paperwork.
Overall, it’s a very professionally run business. I hope I never have to hire a lawyer again but if i do, Polk County’s Finest Family Law Firm, Fulmer Law will be the first place I’d call.

I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Fulmer and his associates on my family case. Mr. Fulmer is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and compassionate about the law and his clients. He was hired in the middle of my case as my lawyer prior did not provide the knowledge nor professionalism to help me in my high conflict case.
If you want a lawyer who knows his stuff, who is going to go above and beyond for you, who actually cares about your case, it’s him. His office staff is amazing and they keep you in the loop. He is personable and will tell you how it is and keep you grounded with expectations versus the reality. My case was definitely not the easiest and I applaud him and his office for all of their efforts and their continuing support to the final court date. He will be the one you want standing by your side. He wears a bow tie and even has his own war cry if it gets edgy before court even begins. He was able to get everything situated to lead to a very happy ending to a very painful and drawn out process. Mr. Fulmer fought for my children as if they were his own. In the end, my children are now back with me on a joint parenting plan, I was able to get everything I deserved and then some. I cannot thank him and his staff enough. No words can describe the emotion that runs through you when you get your children back. Or the smiles and joy on their faces when they run to you when it’s all over knowing they can stay the night and then the days after.
